Teaching & coaching
Throughout her career, Jane has been an active teacher and chamber music coach. She is a visiting tutor in cello and chamber music at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, including teaching University of Birmingham music students. She has been a chamber music coach on numerous courses and has worked with a wide range of students. For example:

Whilst on a solo tour of India, Jane gave workshops and chamber music courses in Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore

Regular tutoring on Kammermusik courses in Santa Fe, USA, and Oxford, UK (at St. Edmund Hall)

Tutor on Chamber Music for Amateurs at Lavethan

Jane teaches and coaches local groups and students in her hometown, Oxford.

Furthermore, as a member of the Schubert Ensemble, she has taught and coached as part of residencies, workshops and masterclasses in the UK and many other countries across the world. Specific projects include:

Several trips to Malaysia tor un chamber music courses in Penang and Kualalumpur as well as to advise on setting up a training orchestra

Coaching youth orchestras including the Thai Youth Orchestra and a youth orchestra in Soweto, South Africa

Workshops and chamber music coaching in Oregon, USA, over many years

Three residencies (funded by the National Lottery) in the Hall for Cornwall, Bristol University and the Wiltshire Music Centre. These all included a wide range of activities including seminars for university students and working with A level and GCSE students as well as younger children
